Memories of me!!!

Thanks to all of my friends who have posted this on their blogs. It is so fun reading everyones memories. I hope everyone will take time and post about memories they have, and I also want all of you to put this on your blog so I can tell my stories too.

Here's how it works:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember, good or bad but be nice please! ;)

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments

I get to be the first one! WOO HOO! I have had so much fun getting to know you at bunko and I know that after the big PC trip we'll have tons of memories to share. I think the memories I have are definately from bunko. I have always loved to sit with you at a table a talk. I love to hear you talk about your boys and I can totally see how much in love with each one of them you are. And you should be, they are all adorable. I look forward to getting to know you better.

My memory of you is the same one you left, from bunko at the cabin. I remember when the lights went out and everyone started to scream. I ofered to go up and put in gas but I was secretly wishing that someone else would offer to go as well so I wouldn't be alone. I was very glad when you stepped up to the plate :0) I remember laughing with you about how funny it would be to scare them more by the window banging thing but it didn't work cause they were expecting it. Maybe we can make up for it on the Park City trip (hehe)It's been really fun getting to know you and I'm so excited to spend a full day and night with the gang as well.

So I am posting the cabin memory too but not for trying to scare us but for stealing my socks!!! It was a fun trip and hopefully we will have tons more fun! (oh and you and Paige better not plan anything in Park City because we will be expecting it :))

Nicki--I just wanted to let you know that I am reading your blog (cause your mom told me to!!!!) I was trying to think of something funny to share and the only funny but somewhat embarrassing (sorry) thing that I could think of was that one time when we were very young like 5 years ago, we were sleeping out on the hide-a-bed and you were jumping and fell off and hit your head and you began a barf-a-rama!!! You were about 2 probably and apparently everytime you hit your head you would throw up!!!!! It is real funny now, but your poor mom, can you imagine if that happened everytime your kids hit their head?? We would be constantly cleaning up spew!!! Your website is very cute...wish I knew how to be non-technically challenged. Oh well, maybe when I grow up!!

one of my favorite memories of you is this. when you were going to school and it was your bedtime , you would go to bed and when i would walk by your bedroom and if you were still awake, i would stop and give you a little kiss on the forehead. sometimes i would walk by and i thought you were sleeping (silly me ) and i'd get a couple of steps past your door and you would yell out really loud--HEYYYY. i'd come back and ask what you wanted and you'd say " you forgot to kiss me goodnight". so i.d give a little kiss and that made you happy and it made me very happy. love dad

For me it would be how much fun we had in Young Women's. Especially girls camp!

This is one of the memories that makes me laugh the most, although I have no idea why it was so funny at the time to me or why it is so funny to me now.
This is a very solemn ocassion. Indeed it is, ho, ho, ho.
Why did you let the fart in the park.

Like I said, I have no idea why that game was even fun to play, but I still think it is funny although I don't know why.

Wow, just one memory? There are so many to choose from. I remember when we would go camping how you would wake up and look around before you would open your eyes. Then there were all the times I just hung out at your house. It was fun when you were living in Vegas. I think I visited more often when you were living there, than I do now that you are closer. You have such a great family. You are a wonderful friend.

Nicki, Nicki, Nicki... well, my first memories of you are "ditto"... the Cabin! There was no way in H*%$ I was going out to put gas in the generator! I saw someone walk by the window 10 seconds before the power went out. I was certain that you and Paige were going to be slaughtered! So, I admire your bravery because I am certainly a WHIMP when it comes to being in the middle of nowhere at 2:00 in the morning!

But, I remember Angie W. telling me about how nice you are and how excited she was for the new "neighbs". I think we first talked at an Enrichment and it was fun to have another "Boy Mom" in the ward. We hit it off immediately. Sure glad you moved in!

My memories of you - where do I start? There are SOOO many...first of all, I'll start with the romantic memories. I remember when we were dating, and I knew you were the woman I was to marry, and with every breath I took I loved you even more, the problem was, I had never told you - we had been dating for a while, but I never had the courage...then finally, in my truck on one of our dates, I turned to you aand said it, "I love you" slipped off of my quivering lips, I couldnt beleive I did it, but I did, and expecting a HUGE hug and kiss, along with an "I love you too" to follow shortly after the words ht your lovely ears - but instead, I got "Thank you"...I just spilled my guts out, and all I got was "Thank You"...talk about a bad night!

Next I'll go for the crazy - many people know that you had surgery on your foot about a year ago, but what a lot of people dont know is how you hurt it in the first place. There you were, standing on the driveway of our first home in Vegas, just standing there, doing nothing at all, you might have even been picking your nose, (that part I dont recall), when all of the sudden, out of nowhere, you fall over...you just fell, you werent walkng, running, jumping, nothing at all, just fell right over and broke your foot...what the crap was that all about?

And finally, another fond memory I have of you is from the cabin as well - it was so funny when I didnt want to stay home alone so I went up to the cabin, walked past the window and cut the power to the generator to scare all of you - ha ha ha - still laughng to this day!

Oh...good times!

Nicki - whether you like it or not you have taught me a few valuable lessons on life. Often you would say 'it is what it is'. Funny how you ponder on those words and then apply them to your life. So often I hold on to the past for no reason. 'It can't be changed so let it be' is how i approach different things that come up now. There is less stress in my life because of those few simple words said by the right person at the right time. Thanks for teaching an old dog new tricks. ha ha ha
That lesson is a memory I will keep forever.

Okay first of all I just wanted to apologize for my crazy husband in the ugly red shorts. He thinks he needs to hang out with you guys whenever you are outside. I am surprised you guys come out at all!! That being said, I love having you for neighbors. Who else would lend me ketchup every other day. Thanks for being so wonderful and patient with my kids. They love you guys too. Lucky you!!! I do remember this one time when you said a certain black puppy had to go, and just tonight, I saw a cute pink collar on her. You are such a sucker! I know you can't jump on your trampoline without going inside every few minutes. I think your boys are great and I love that our kids play pretty well together. Thanks for hanging out with our family and being great neighbors.!

Dad- My favorite memories of you are when you would tell us stories of when you were a "little boy". Also when we would go to the gym and play raquetball or basketball, and how you would lift one leg to shoot the basketball, hance the name "Lucy" came about. Another memory is of snakes, When we were walking down by the creek and a snake slithered in front of and you jumped just as high as I did, I think you even screamed as high as I did, or the time you drove over to my house in Lehi to kill the stow away snake that I had brought home from camping you choped and chopped with the shovel until I'm pretty sure we had "snake stew". Dad you always have been my best friend, and I eill always cherish the bond we have. I Love You!
